Changing Lanes (2025)

Dir. Ben Wolf, 2025, USA, 74 min.

After a beloved teacher is killed in a hit-and-run on McGuinness Boulevard, Greenpoint neighbors launch a grassroots campaign to transform the notorious four-lane boulevard into a safer two-lane street with a protected bike lane. The film demonstrates how grassroots activism and community advocacy can be powerful tools for street safety, even in the face of fierce opposition. A sharp look at who our streets are really built for and a rousing case for democracy at the street level.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Kevin LaCherra of Make McGuinness Safe, Zach Wyche of NYC DOT, and Samantha Kattan, candidate for Assembly District 37.

Part of Changing Changing Lanes Lanes.

Presented in partnership with Ridgewood Rides.

All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges. Five minutes after the listed showtime, any unused tickets will be considered no-shows and released to standby customers.
